Welcome to Senior Rugby ....... ..

Chobham 1st XV looks forward to an exciting and successful 2008/09 season in London 2 South, last season was our first at this level and we finished 3rd proving that we are a team not to be taken lightly. The 1st XV look forward to facing new opposition in Thanet Wanderers, Basingstoke, Dover and Gravesend and meeting up with their old adversary Cobham.

Chobham also had a successful Surrey Cup run, losing in the final to Sutton & Epsom. Because of our successful cup performance, this season we are in the draw for the first round of EDF Energy National Trophy for the first time in our history. We have drawn Cleve from South West 1 at home, who finished 4th last season at a level above Chobham's.
 
The Senior Squad senior coach is James Justice, with Terry O’Connor as forwards coach for 2008/09. In addition to our coaching staff we have physio’s available at all training sessions and for all senior teams. The development of coaches within the club is a new venture and courses will be available to anybody who is interested.

With 4 other senior sides playing merit table rugby and friendlies every Saturday there is a level to suit any player who wishes to play at this forward thinking atmospheric club, Chobham now has 3 home pitches. Chobham have a number of players who have progressed through their mini / junior section to take their place in the senior teams, no fewer than 17 players in the 1st XV squad last season came through that section.

Training takes place every Tuesday & Thursday evenings throughout the season starting at 7.15pm
