Chobham under 18 girls play competitive rugby in Surrey League 1. The 2008/9 season built on the successes attained in earlier seasons and saw the girls finish mid table behind some really strong clubs. A number of the Chobham girls have also won representative honours with County, Regional and Talent Development Group (TDG) appearances. (info here)
League rugby is supplemented by a programme of friendly matches all over the South East and for the first time in 2009 the girls spent a weekend on tour joining an under 17 boys squad in Biarritz where they played two fixtures winning one convincingly, and narrowly losing against a women’s side in neighbouring Spain.
The season ended with the side finishing on a high as Plate winners at the London & SE Sevens tournament at Dorking.

As with all Chobham sides coaching is provided by RFU qualified coaches and the girls have joined the embryonic coaching academy set up for junior player. The girls were lucky to have additional coaching in 2008/9 from an ex-England ladies captain
Training takes place on a weekday evening with matches on Sundays during the season (September to May). During the summer months Thursday evening touch rugby sessions take place with all club sides joining in.
New players are always welcome at Chobham.
